Stella Marie, circa 1943, the fifth in The Grandmothers limited edition soft body doll series: Women and Girls of the 20th Century, depicts a young woman posing for her wedding photo, during the WWII era. She wears a white cotton piqué dress with an original stencil pattern, replicating the green floral pattern of her dress. The original green and white buttons were early plastic which melted upon contact with heat.
The brown and white satin spectator shoes even have matching buckles! Her underwear is white batiste.
The sixteen inch tall dolls' bodies are 100% pimatex cotton, hand stained with coffee. Facial features are hand painted with textile paints, varying slightly from doll to doll; the hair is wool, also varying slightly, according to dye lots.
Clothing and shoes are not removable.
