The Grandmothers Soft Body Dolls, a part of Coats, Capotes, Vests, and More, features dolls designed from photographs of family and friends. The name comes from the Elizabeth doll, an engagement photograph, and the Veda Leona doll, an Edwardian wedding portrait (shown): grandmothers of the artist. Five dolls currently are available. The artist, Karen Howard, also accepts commissions.
The dolls will be displayed at the Tea Lady during Fall Arts Walk in downtown Olympia, Washington, on October 3, 2008. More information to come on the Events page.
